cle de Peau is great but it was rathar drying for me . I've been ver happy with Creme de La Mer concealer. expensive but it's so concentrated that it lasts forever. Helps me look alive/less zombi-ish. My one makeup I can't do without.
There's La Mer makeup? No idea it existed, will look into it.
I use MAC StudioFix under my eyes. It's a powdery compact concealer. It's amazing.
Makeup Forever makes a great high def concealer. It really does cover. I have good luck with BeneFit Erase Paste also.
YSL did not work for me. OP, what kind of skin do you have? Are you caucasian or darker? It makes a HUGE difference what your base skin tone is. If you are caucasian, I have had better luck at CVS than Sephora, FYI. have tried seemingly a million different concealer brands. I used to use Chanel, but some idiot market person discontinued the worlds best concealer to me, unfortunately. I would like to have a word with whomever made that decision.
I don't know if I'd describe my under-eye circles as "insane", but I definitely need a good concealer. ITA with the PP who said finding the right concealer for your skin tone is key. I have a pale olive-y complexion and Bobbi Brown works well for me/
Whoever you are, thank you so much for the Femme Couture recommendation. It is amazing stuff. I've never tried the Cle de Peau (those Saks ladies scare me) but this exactly how I have imagined that it applies and wears! I wish they had a few more colors, but this stuff is the best! Thank you! |
I am as pale as they come. I have been reading this thread with great interest because my dark circles seem pretty dark in comparison to my OMG DO YOU NEVER SEE THE SUN?! skin. UGH. I saw a few posts extolling the cities of concealers for more olive skin types. Anything for a hopeless skin type like me?
