I had 2 girls in my class in college who did it during those years and they actually enjoyed it. |
I seriously doubt it. Most of us who have been in the sex industry (dancing, porn, prostitution) have had troubled lives, due to low self esteem, abuse, parental abandonment, etc. No one with a healthy upbringing grows up and decides to become a sex worker. Those who say they enjoy selling their bodies haven't dealt with the trauma yet, because they're still enmeshed. It makes me sad to hear other women, especially those who are clueless, defend the practice. |
| "sex worker" is a pretty broad spectrum. street walkers getting abused by pimps to strippers making $$$. |
| Drat. I thought this was going to be a thread about SAHMs. |
Never mention your experience to the pro-porn camp. They think there is no exploitation or profiting from others' troubled backgrounds. |
I'll say it again. You're clueless. |
| For those of you that would rather steal - is it because you find stealing less immoral than prostitution? |
| If prostitution was legal and stealing was not, I'd prostitute. Mostly to avoid getting arrested and the possibility of being locked up away from my kids. |
How would taking away something from someone else (possibly innocent) less moral than prostituting your body? |
Less shaving. |

I knew someone who worked her way through undergrad and med school (geo. Wash. Univ) by being a high class call girl to some very well known names in national politics. She offered to set me up and I have always regretted not accepting her offer. Ah, the rides I could have had!
|
| Of course. I would do whatever I had to to support my kids. Whatever I had to. |
So what did you think you were getting yourself into? Prostituting yourself is sickening, it certainly won't be the Brad Pitt's of the world lining up to do a once-over on you. Gross! |
| I'd strip first, then steal. |
She already said it was awful. What was the point of your post? |
