Is it a bad idea to have my baby shower at 36 weeks?

36 weeks now, and my shower is this weekend. Schedule it when it's easy for you, and have a great time, OP!

we were blessed with two showers (one with my friends, one with his) and the "His" shower was scheduled literally a week before my due date. We both kind of wished the baby would come early so we didn't have to go through with it. THAT was too close to the date. My other shower was at 34 weeks and that was about right for me. 36 weeks is probably fine, though. The majority of my friends did not have their babies two weeks early.
