p.s. if you live outside of DC proper (and maybe outside of Arlington or Bethesda), it's not as hard to find good care. I did my research and found a great daycare in Fairfax when I was about 3-4 months pregnant, and found a great preschool in Arlington a couple months before we needed it. Like with a lot of things around here, though, you need to be organized and on-the-ball about researching and applying.
