Conrad Murray - do you think he will be found guilty?

If you believe that "I'm Peter Pan, I want to hug all the world's children, I'm so innocent and don't understand the world" BS that MJ was selling... well, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'd like to sell you, too.

CM was willing to give MJ this drug and even if you believe that MJ gave himself the fatal dose (which I do not believe is supported by the experts), but even if you believe that, it was CM who left MJ with access to a controlled substance. CM left MJ alone long enough such that he did not notice that MJ stopped breathing. CM knew that he wasn't giving proper care and that's why he hid the fact that he had given propofol when the EMTs and ER docs asked what MJ was on and why he had a doctor in the house and why MJ had an IV. The ER docs knew it didn't make sense. CM knew he had made a major mistake and he tried to cover it up.... that's consciousness of guilt that he had killed MJ by failing to take proper care of him.

I love you. I have been sad that no one has mentioned this trial until now. I am a HUGE MJ fan, but I am also one of DCUM's cranky private firm lawyers. It seems like there is nowhere that one can admit to being an MJ fan in polite company, not even on DCUM. Until now.

I think Conrad Murray is the sorriest sack of shit ever for doing what he did. I think he gave MJ a bunch of propofol thinking that could knock him out for awhile and then he could go make his phone calls.

I think what he did was reprehensible and - yes - criminally negligent. If he isn't convicted I will take it very hard.

As for those who want to call Michael Wacko Jacko and a pedophile, go read the transcripts from the 2005 trial and then tell me you are still so sure. The truth is the media got it wrong in 2005. The case sucked and the prosecution had nothing except a vendetta and people who were looking for a fast buck. Did you know that the Arvizo family had prevuiously been found to have lied in court before for money?

Micheal Jackson had a very troubled life and he made it that way. He not only changed his looks, but also started the drug scene at an early age. No, personally I feel that Michael Jackson did all this to himself, but people need someone to blame and that is his doctor. Listen to the tape when he was talking! He was messed up then.

Listen to the tape?

Uh -- gee where did the tape come from? Oh, that was CM.

Where did the drugging up come from? Oh, that was from CM.

So, I guess it's ok for a doctor to sedate a person, then tape them with their slurred words and then we put the blame for slurring their words on the patient?

I think your logic is twisted.

The doctor had a responsibility to treat the patient within certain standards of care. It's not the same standard as if MJ just picked one of his body guards and told him to injected him (MJ) with a drug that MJ bought on the street himself. CM is a DOCTOR who was responsible for the use and safe-keeping of controlled substances. He has an obligation to use those substances only as appropriate and to safe-guard the substances when he is not using them. Once he administers a drug to a patient, he has a responsibility to make sure the patient is ok, especially when that drug is known to cause people to stop breathing and NO doctor has ever seen that drug used outside of a surgical situation. It's just ridiculous. He is a scheister and his craftiness in making a statement to police (filled with self-serving lies) just makes me sick.

Agree with you (op here). What really irks me about this case is that in life MJ was a pariah, and now, because he dies, he suddenly became the king of Pop (he might as well be!) and someone must take the blame for his death... if he was a little nobody, I doubt they would be prosecuting the doctor. Yes, I feel sorry for MJ and I don't think he was really a pedophile, however, I do think he cause his own death and it was only a matter of time.
