Rockville HS V's Sherwood HS

I will write from a different perspective. I do not know about either of this school since I do not live in that area. However, I was in the award ceremony for Science Montgomery (MD's biggest science fair) and the amount of awards Sherwood won amazed me. I would think if that many kids can win awards in science fair, that school cannot be rural. Even if it were rural, it definitely demonstrated a strong educational focus.

Wow, I didn't realize the definition of rural included :unable to understand science." WTH?

Sherwood is certainly in a more rural setting than Rockville. That does not make Sherwood home to a bunch of gun toting hicks. Nor does it mean no one in Rockville has ever gone hunting. Could there be sillier stereotyping?

You misunderstood me. I was providing response to the OP that I thought Sherwood is a fine HS if it can motivate/guide that many students to participate and win science competitions. I probably should not have mentioned my assumption that it maynot be rural. However, rural or not a schools primary purpose is providng education and I felt this school showed that potential. I was just providing my perspective for a different type of comparison.
