At my house we actually wear full body condoms upon entering the mud room. Once we have been placed in the body condom we then enter the house, but only after dousing the outside of the body condom with industrial strength chemicals as to kill any rogue germs. We are a germs free house in general and this is the only way to really guarantee that no germs enter the premises.
Guests typically do not take issue with this policy. If they do then they are usually not guests we would want to have over in the first place. |
And what about plantar warts, foot fungus...? |
Let me get this straight. You have guest that come into your home, place their feet on the dining table during dinner and start clipping their toe nails? You have bigger problems that shoes on or off. |
You get the warts if your foot is hurt And the fungus only thrives in wet, dark environments. my home is light and clean. |
| I take my shoes off at home but do not require others to do do. If asked I tell them it's preferred but not required. For me it's as much a matter of comfort as it is cleanliness. |

No shoe house camp. It's sssooooo gross to walk around in your home with shoes on - wipe the bottom of a pair of shoes, and then come back and tell us we're all a bunch of crazies.
Even my dog stops at the door to have his paws wiped off! |
