The folks who're posing in Sears, JCPenneys, etc., probably make okay money but it's hit or miss I'd imagine ($10k one month, $0 the next).

Try $35/hr. There are many good looking people out there who hope that they will be discovered. They will take the lower pay hoping that next time they will hit it big. Christie Brinkley married BJ in part for money. Same with Iman and DB. I am not saying that there was no love, but they did not have nearly enough money to maintain the lifestyles they wanted.
