| Where can you get the parish boundary map? |
| You all live on another planet from me. Is CCDC Chevy Chase? What is Blessed Sacrament? A Catholic School that you have to live within a certain neighborhood to attend? So confused... |
As a Catholic, I'm guessing it's more of a slam on us - with the assumption that all we do is breed, stay home, and tithe using our husbands' money. |
|
Also confused by the mention of Blessed Sacrament. If it is in fact some kind of slam, you can at least be reassured that the poster's biases are so out of the mainstream that it's baffling to the general public.

| Wtf is a SAHM neighborhood?? |
| Lots of SAHMs on Capitol Hill. I'm one of them. |
Yes, Chevy Chase DC is CCDC. Blessed Sacrament is a Catholic school that gives admissions priority to parishioners who live within a certain boundary near the school. Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought the PP was using the Blessed Sacrament comment as a reference to a certain section of CCDC, which tends to have more families and more SAHMs. |
| BS gives priority to active parishioners. There are no parish boundaries in the Washington Archdiocese. |

I am BS mom (who just went back to work BTW) and yes probably more BS moms are SAHM. One thing is that catholic families tend to be larger so the economics of working tend to work against you because of childcare.
The parish boundaries are most of CCDC i think - at least until you get closer to tenley circle and a big chunk of chevy chase MD (up to bradley blvd i think. Actually i agree with 21:22 - I don't think getting into the school it matters any more about the boundary if that is why you are asking. |
