S/O of leaving DC thread: DC to Philly?

Anonymous
PP originally quoted: yes, I live in the city. No, I don't like it as much as other cities I've lived in that are larger and/or more urban and/or more neighborhood-based. You caught me.

Can we now let the OP's thread get back to her original question about Philly? Feel free to take the burb-hating over to the old thread completely devoted to that subject, or the DC-defending over to other threads also devoted to that subject.

11:32 - go away, please. We are tired of you not answering the question at hand and trying to act the part of D.C. cheerleader. Rah. Rah. Rah. Vomit.

Maybe PP is afraid he would be blue collar if he were exposed to more class distinctions? Interesting.

Op, if you think you will like it, give it a try. Most people respect others who are willing to try new things - and who are different - imagine that! Most people who try new things have more respect for themselves. Case in point (the aforementioned). I have heard great things about Philly. GL in your decision.

OP here. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. We enjoy living in DC, but not as much as we liked living in NY (not trying to re-ignite any debate, just our personal preference) and it seems like Philly could be a god fit for us. It seems like there are several interesting neighborhoods near center city that we will investigate further. Thanks again.
