Personally, I like Troll posts.
I love reading some snarky responses to fake controversial topics. mom abandoning her family to live in France - good one! |
If someone doesn't block this troll, this site is a joke and encourages fake posts. |
Btw I just reported you, troll. I admit to posting snarky comments at times (who doesn't, on DCUM?!) but at least my comments are real. You trolls are obnoxious and because of you people get all wrapped up in the fake drama, and then real posts and real questions get ignored. Go back under your bridge. |
NP here. People get wrapped up in drama because they thrive on it and look for it, not for any other reason. People LOVE other people's drama because they fine it preferable to the problems in their own lives. That is not the fault of the OP, or any troll who fakes a post. People come here to look for something to do. If not to get involved in other's drama, then what??? This is DCUM....it's not going to change. |
Well if the people who run the site wanted it to change, they would block the trolls. I guess this page is troll friendly then? There should be a disclaimer. |
So, an anonymous person starts a thread saying they post fake messages and you immediately believe everything they write? Do you think that might not be a wise strategy? |
Did Mom in France thread get locked? Man Watching Winnie the Pooh movie thread did get locked. |
You troll cuz you're too stupid to hack into people's bank accounts. |
Yeah, unless something similar is happening in your family or someone you know. It's hilarious to make fun of real children whose moms are actually abandoning them. I almost can't stop laughing. |
Agree. |
No, it's not a wise strategy. However, I do think you could go consider going back and checking to see if the person who claims to have been the originator of those threads is indeed the same as the OP claiming to have started those, and consider blocking them. I don't think that someone going around purposely starting false threads is doing anyone any favors--it's certainly not making the site any better. PP had a valid point regarding the locking of some threads vs others. |
As I said in another thread, I don't like to publicize the specific actions that I take in cases such as this. Advertising what I am doing offers a roadmap for evading it. But, you will find that the two threads mentioned in the original post no longer exist. The thread about the mother in Paris is not active and I have simply not bothered to search for it. If someone wants to link to it, I'll take a look. Otherwise, it's not worth the energy for me to find. it. One thing that I will say is that the original poster of this thread hardly deserves to be labeled a troll. Her strategy has been to post a single message and then simply stand back and watch. She did not post a single follow up message in either of the threads that I removed. I see much more egregious behavior on a daily basis. |
You need to get a life. |
OP here.
I think I can make everyone happy. I will sign in and post thought provoking questions and anecdotes. I hereby promise to troll no more. |
Yawn. Just get a username so we can all avoid you. |
