Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers
| Do you really consider a 2 year old a baby? Really? |
| Well a 2yr old might not be a baby but a just turning 2 is still very young--albeit a toddler. However, that's not the point of ops question. She wanted to know whether to battle this issue or to ride it out till itS more natural end-some might argue like a nursing toddler. |

Not everyone is in the "cold turkey" camp. We let DD lead on this and everything worked out fine in the end.
DD drank milk only from a bottle until almost 2 and a half. To be clear -- it was four bottles of 5 oz a day up until then -- not just bedtime! Of course, we tried introducing milk in a cup ever since 15 months or so. But no luck. One day at around 2.5 DD decided she was done with the bottle. She literally announced, "Bottles are for babies," walked over the garbage can and dropped it in. From then on, she drank milk from a cup. Done. No tears. Of course, we're now hoping potty training will have a similarly happy ending. So far, wer'e still waiting . . . . |
| I think you should just go with the flow - let the best routine that works for you both be the one you use each night . bottle / sippy etc its all the same ...milk is good for your child . no "parenting police" should enter into your thoughts as you raise your child. take each stage as it comes naturally.....follow your instinct. |
