Um...we need a deer plan!

I didn't know that! I am for controlled hunting too if that is the case.

Deer are creepy! They act all nice, but you never know.

LOL Maybe the deer are like those mean ducks and geese?

On a serious note, it's sad what is happening for us and them. There needs to more of a solution than just live and let live because we can't have them running around on the beltway and other roadways. (yep, there have been deer on the beltway. So sad and scary for all involved).

It gets bad during mating/running/hunting season. A lot of deer get hit by cars. There's an overpopulation which means a scarcity of food. More building means less places for them to go. They're hungry too, so more and more of them are looking for food closer which means more and more gets hit by cars. I've seen them at intersections, almost run into one while walking out of a friend's driveway, seen them in people's yards...etc.

Overpopulation is caused when a predator is unable to live near the prey or goes extinct. Hunting may stem it - but that means killing Bambi if you're ok with that.

They can, but it takes quite a few of them to take down an adult. And we've disrupted their natural habitat enough that we probably don't have the numbers. They mostly eat mice and rabbits, I think.
