I have been quoted 407.00 for and epi pen for my 14 year old daughter! This is just absolutely out of the question!
Even with the 100$ discount it's still too much. She knows to stay clear of any questionable foods. However I just think the cost is way out of control!!

I agree we need to reduce kids' allergies, but you don't know what you are talking about. I did everything exactly the same through 2 pregnancies -- ate nuts, peanuts, soy, shellfish, dairy, etc. Had a dog, vacuumed very little, lived in the same area with the same water and the same air pollution. One child is allergic to everything and one child is allergic to nothing.

There was a recent article in the NY times that said the overuse of antibiotics was a possible cause of allergies.

I just paid a $268 copay for a twin pack epipen. That was with using the $100.00 value $0 copay card. This is a dug that we must carry with us and we hope we never have to use.
