Help me avoid alternate schedule pitfalls

Make sure you are still perceived as a good performer by the people who matter in your office. Note, this may not be your actual supervisor. If you start to hear buzz about layoffs or poor company financial performance, get off AWS ASAP and high tail it back to the office. Out of sight (even a little) is out of mind, and a face that isn't there 40+ hours per week is easier to cut.
