If you are a supervisor pls give your opinion

The issue is that management (my boss) and I agree that the behavior is inapprorpiate and unprofessional. Yes they are spending work time and this and it does create a morale problem.

I can say anything I want at work. I am free to write a newspaper editorial if I want. If my employer sees it and feels it reflects poorly on the company, they are free to fire me.

If I have a problem with my boss, who is the President of my company, and I go around venting about it and bad mouthing him to my fellow employees, I sure do expect to get fired.

However, I seek your opinions because I recognize that opinions about what's appropriate and professional may vary. Thank you for the feedback.

If an employee has issues with you and the discussion s/he has with a coworker is causing a morale problem, then you have bigger problems than the two employees. Morale is built up or torn down by the quality of leadership, not by a single employee's issue with a supervisor.

Unprofessional.
