You are missing my point. I don't advocate more of it; I hate it. But it is a tried and true GOP tactic, not a Democratic one. |
Let's be honest. The GOP patented the message of the week. Out of nowhere, EVERYBODY will repeat the EXACT SAME PHRASE in speeches, on the sunday news shows, in every single Fox News commentary, and even in the papers. Whether it is "enhanced Interrogation", or "dithering", or "flip flop", or "uncertainty", etc. they set the script and the minions read right off of it. No thinking person would do this unless it was for political gain. |
Dems are disorganized, we all know that. Doesn't mean that each person isn't twisting things in their own individual way. Rep politicians are not more politician-y than Dem ones. |
Still waiting for examples. And we're not talking about politician-y. We're talking about lies only distantly related to actual statements, like the lie about Gore and the internet. And BTW, I was talking about the choreographed, systematic distortions. I cited that Rep strategy and advocated for more from the Dems, and someone (you?) said that the Dems already do plenty of it. I don't think I've ever voted for a Dem for a federal office, but I don't make the mistake of equating the two parties' willingness to lie. From Mike Dukakis wants to take your guns away to Al Gore wants to take your cars away (and says he invented the internet) to Iraq was responsible for 9/11 to John Kerry hates our troops to Obama is a foreign-born socialist who wants to kill you grandma, the Reps haven't had any shame in that regard for decades. Don't forget that their chief strategist for years was a guy who once bugged his own hotel room and blamed it on the opposition. |
He had a valid but illegal social security card. this is a huge felony. Will Obama deport him? |
how did he get it? |
What does valid but illegal mean? |
