evolution is much more complicated thatn belief or non-belief. as John Lennon said "I don't believe we came from monkeys...it is something else". natural selection exists in some cases but not all. gay people wouldn't last 2 generations if evolution were "true".

WTF are you talking about??

I just want to highlight this as the first time I've seen John Lennon quoted in an argument about evolution.

Changed my mind.

wow:

In 1975 (age 15), Huntsman earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America.[5][6] Huntsman attended Palo Alto High School but dropped out before graduating to pursue his passion as a keyboard player in the rock band Wizard.[7][8]
Huntsman later obtained a G.E.D and matriculated at the University of Utah, where he became, like his father, a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

Huntsman served as a Mormon missionary in Taiwan for two years, allegedly attaining fluency in Standard Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese Hokkien (Minnan), though his Mandarin carries an obvious American accent[9] and he has not yet demonstrated his ability to speak Taiwanese. He then transferred to the University of Pennsylvania and received a bachelor's degree in international politics.

Lennon also said about this opinion in the same interview: " I’ve nothing to base it on; it’s only a gut feeling. ".

Apparently you respect Al Gore, because you are supporting his former campaign chief, Rick Perry. AHAHAHAHAHA dumbass.

I lean more Republican in my stances on finance and gun control but I'm 100% Democrat in views on pro-choice, education, healthcare, welfare, and environmental issues. I'm like a huge double negative.

Screw it then - I'll just have to see what Paul had to say.

If you're left leaning on education, healthcare, and welfare, in what way are you right leaning on finance? I hope you not just saying that you want that stuff, but no taxes...

Which is why we need a moderate party. There is no room for moderates in either party.

There is only one way to get your party back. You have to choose the nuclear option, like they did on the debt limit. Basically screw the party in 2012 by staying away or voting the other way. Everyone will know that it was Republican radicals who lost the election. Then you have the power to rebuild.

This is what should have happened after 2008.

Although I call myself a liberal, I think it is totally illogical to think there is a single left-right scale that applies to all issues. When you see an anti-war far-rightist like Ron Paul, who has a pretty consistent philosophy, or the anti-abortion, anti-capital punishment stand of the consistently pro-life Catholic Church, I think you have to admit that PP is not so much a double negative as a person willing to approach each issue on its own merits, rather than parroting a party-line.

BTW, I would not use the term moderate here, as another PP did. Neither Ron Paul nor the Pope fit that label.
