Where can a recent law grad find work?

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a job at McDonald's anymore? Seriously.

I'm a fed gov attorney and while I do advise applying, chances are slim for new grad applications. Heck, they're slim for experienced attorneys with relevant experience. First of all, in recent years, we've received a huge glut of applications. My group just hired 10 attorneys--we got over 650 applications. Competition is stiff, many of the applicants were qualified and had impressive credentials. Second of all, have you read the newspaper (or watched TV lately) and perhaps seen anything recently about the federal budget?
