Anyone have multiple miscarriages and go on to have a healthy, full-term pregnancy?

Dear OP, I had 2 MC's (one after IVF, one after a spontaneous pregnancy) and 2 additional failed IVF's. Both M'C's were d and c and so we could do diagnostic testing and genetic counseling -- no issues that were patterned or predictable. (I have a history of gynecological problems and have one ovary and one fallopian tube). We decided that it wasn't meant to be; we are the classic story in that one month later, I got pregnant spontaneously. DC is five, loving life, and so are we. Hang in there. I am so sorry -- it WILL get better, even when days feel so dark you barely want to get out of bed. (PS FWIW, only two people besides our parents knew about our issues -- my supervisors, who were Godsends.) I don't know that having kept it all in was helpful, but at the time, I felt as though the fewer who knew, the less it would hurt. I wish I had had this board back then -- come back if you need us.

I'm not OP, but thank you for all these posts. I'm going through my second mc now (d&c tomorrow), and I'm scared about getting pregnant again. It's reassuring to hear that people have had healthy pregnancies after multiple mcs. I know quite a few women who have had miscarriages, but only one each, so this time I'm more scared about the future than I was with my first mc.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I know I'm very late in responding, but just wanted to share my experience and hopefully give hope to others. I had 3 m/cs over 2 years. Was able to get pg easily the first 2 times but it took over a year for the 3rd. After a LOT of testing I was put on lots of extra folic acid, extra B6 and B12, and baby asprin (in addition to prenatal). Tried for another year, then had an IUI and my 4th pregnancy was a success resulting in my son. I was 35 when he was born. Unfortunately had a 4th m/c when my son was 6-months old but have since gotten pg and am currently 12 weeks and things are looking good. These last 2 pregnancies we conceived without "trying." My advice is to find a doc you trust and is willing to do all sorts of testing to help figure out what will work for you.

I have not experienced this, but I know one woman who had 3 miscarriages and then a healthy baby girl. I know another who had a miscarriage and then two chemical pregnancies (BFP but "period" came about a week-10 days later) and is now on week 27 of a healthy pregnancy so far. I also know a woman who had 6 miscarriages and went to term with the 7th pregnancy, though I think her case is more rare/unlikely. I wish you luck!
