| I agree with PP. I like the lighter slate-style floors, especially with white cabinets. I'd probably ditch the navy walls. We have cork in a family room. It seems durable so far. They use cork in industrial settings (like retail store flooring) and it holds up to that traffic. I think the realtor who said avoid it is thinking of 1970's cork, not the stuff they have out now, which is finished with several coats of sealant. |
OP here. Well, we probably aren't ditching the navy walls, since we just painted them It is navy above the chair rail, and white below in the dining room and since the rooms are adjacent, the navy flows around the kitchen on the soffit (don't even get me started on wanting to tear that out and get new cabinets that go up to the ceiling).
I was thinking that maybe a lighter slate would work. I will check out the cork as well. Thanks for all the suggestions! |
