My husband grills romaine lettuce (drizzled with olive oil, salt and pepper)
He also does french toast on the grill - that is unbelievable.

I love to grill corn on the cob, and salmon - but those are not unusual.

I have heard grilled fruit is good.

Avacado.

Cut in half. Brush on oil and balsamac vinegar. Skin side up. Grill on direct heat for about 10 minutes. YUMMY!!

Squirrel. We trap them in our yard and grill pieces wrapped with bacon. Rosemary inparts a nice flavor, too. Admittedly squirrel is not to everyone's taste (my sister thinks it tastes like "greasy rabbit"), but it's an eco-alternative to the supermarket meat counter.

I use the grill for pizza in the summer.

We do this too but don't wrap in foil. Really good!

Agreed, no foil. Try adding some lemon juice and zest before grilling next time.

We just grilled okra and it was awesome! not slimy at all, and crispy - like fries. Used chipotle powder, salt, and olive oil.

Here are my chicken breast tricks. Chicken is not unusual but all the recipes that I initially tried would end up with dried out chicken.

A. Use a meat tenderizer to poke holes in it and then marinate for more tha 30 minutes. Cook on direct high about 2 minutes each side depending on thickness. The holes let the marinade and moisture sink in more and cooking quickly on high heat gives you grill flavor without drying it out. I love using a chipotle marinade, throwing on some peppers and onion, and then grilling the tortillas quickly for fajitas.

B. Foil packets. Try chopping up some red peppers, garlic, and basil. Mix with olice oil and pile on top the chicken breast before closing the foil puch. Cook on medium indirect.

Shrimp tip
Buy the easy peel ones without the head. You do want the shell on, even though it is messy to eat, for moisture. The important part is how you scewer them. Put them on so they all sit spoon style closely next to each other. This retains moisture and keeps them from flipping around.

Hamburger tip
Mix in about 1/4 cup of Worchestire sauce into the hamburger (1.5 lbs) and 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheese. Smoosh the patties a little with the palm of your hand to make an indent. This keeps them even when they cook. Grill the buns quickly too on the outside of the bun leaving the inside slits soft.
