Well if that's caving, then someone forgot to tell Boehner that he won. |
I love Obama's plan -- oh wait, he hasn't produced one.
Harry Reid's plan is even better -- oh wait he can't even get it through the Senate where he has a majority. Remember when the Democrats had the House, Senate and Presidency -- and did nothing? Yeah me too! Hey Democrats, get off your ass and do something. |
You mean the nothing dubbed Obamacare? Otherwise known (to people with any common sense) as the only viable plan to reduce medicare spending? (yes, believe it or not, preventive care now means less maintenace care later. And the emergency care that all uninsured people seek now costs the rest of us dearly) It's one of those things Republicans talked about doing during the years they brought their special brand of costly nothingness down on the American taxpayer (I'm looking at you, Ken Starr). Yet another example of Democrats co-opting a Republican idea only to have Republicans throw up their hands in dismay like some damsel in distress. How dare you suggest we make even MORE cuts! You right-wing thugs have to keep your "base" hoodwinked into believing that they might get a smaller slice with Democratic policies while you walk off with the whole pie. There aren't enough people benefitting from Republican policies to elect a PTA president, let alone POTUS. But the jig is just about up, isn't it? |
It is not up to the dems, the house has to pass something first. Without dems support(5-8 Dem reps, which they don't have) the reps can't pass anything. |
And vice-versa for the Senate, because of the 60 vote deal. It's called divided government (or checks and balances, if you prefer). |
