Agent here - really, no amount of the kind of follow up you're talking about will really help sell the house. Unless he is calling to inform them about a change (upgrades, price drop etc.), then they people saw it, and it wasn't the right house for them. Clients of mine see anywhere from 12-60 houses, and when it's the right combination of things, they'll bite. Look at how the house shows, make it perfect so it stands out. Stage it well. Make sure the pictures reflect how good it looks. And then make sure it's priced well. In the end, that's the biggest thing. Sounds like your agent is doing a good job.
