redfin shows settlements very quickly - like days after closing and extra detail about how much the seller paid as a criedit. You have to go to the page with the summary on a zipcode and there is a tab for recently sold.

Yup. Historically, my family made a lot of money in real estate, so it's in my blood.

I just bought a place and we're moving into it in August, but I can't stop looking at the MLS! It became a nice habit over the last few months. We found a great house for us (honestly didn't think we would), so I'm not *too* worried something better would pop up in our price range. I just really like looking at houses. Whenever someone I know moves somewhere outside of DC, I immediately jump on the MLS and see what i could buy in that city, even if I'd never live there. I love real estate.

I'm a junkie for places I'd like to live. DH is military and retiring in 2 years, so I look all over the country for the *perfect* place for us to settle.
