haven't read any of the replies. I work from home every day. There are many days when I have meetings and I go to them. I don't mind it because it's great that I'm allowed to work from home to begin with. If I were no longer allowed to telecommute ever, you bet I'd find another job. But I'd never give up SOME flexibility for no flexibility. So unless I hated the job and was only there for the flexibility, AND I found another job that was either much more awesome or much more flexible, I'd probably stick around. But then again, teleworking is REALLY important to me.

No, I wouldn't. I work entirely from home but if I had to go into the office it wouldn't be the end of the world. I would still be able to take off when I needed to. I would still be in control of my schedule. My job is pretty great. I worked in the office for 7 years before I started teleworking. I've been at home for almost 7 years now. It would be difficult to give up, but I wouldn't quit.
On the positive side, I would probably apply for more details and other work projects that I currently don't because I don't want to go back into the office daily, even for a 3 month stint. |

| I probably wouldn't leave *just* for that, but my weekly telework day is a real perk for me (my commute is long), and it would probably spur me to start keeping my options open. |
| I wouldn't quit without finding something new, but I would certainly start looking for other opportunities. In addition to the impact of losing flexibility, I'd hate to work in an environment where management was doing stupid and unreasonable things just for the sake of it. If I couldn't find anything else, I'd make do, of course, but to the extent that one has options, it makes sense to exercise them. I have tremendous flexibility and telecommuting options and I am a very loyal employee because of them. |
| I would start looking. I have the job I do because I need flexibility; if I didn't have flexibility, I would at least go for money, because then I could pay for someone to do a lot of the things I do myself, and get free time that way. |
