Best Italian?

You might think this is crazy, but Sergio's, in the Hilton in Silver Spring on Colesville Road, is the most authentically Italian restaurant I've been to in the DC area. It's wonderful, and just like Italy.
Also, I have had really authentic food at Filomena in Georgetown, but it's been a longtime since I ate there. |

| LOVE Toscana, on Capitol Hill at 2nd & F NE (about 3 blocks from Union Station). The food is wonderful, prices reasonable, and it is lovely inside as well as outside on the patio. The fact that the neighborhood is quiet and pretty makes all the difference. And I have never seen kids there, in case you were worried! |
