Do you eat rice during Passover?

I decided our family is Sephardic for Passover. Between the two kids with food allergies and GI issues, not to mention the resulting pickiness, I don't think they'd get adequate nutrition without the kitniyot.

When my DD had allergy issues during her first couple of years, I had her follow Sephardic rules, too. And actually, to my own mind, their interpretation of the rules makes more sense. But, we follow Ashkenazic rules for the sake of tradition and DH and I did during DD's solitary Sephardic soujourn as well.

On a related note, I have decided to end Passover observance one day early this year, since the extra day is based on medieval rabbis not being confident when the holiday was ending in the Holy Land. I am confident that Passover ends in Israel tonight, so mine will too. Yay carbs!
