Girl Scouts -- how much time and is it worth it?

In a slightly related note, how feasible is it for girls to be heavily involved if their mom isn't interested at all. I'm a father of two girls, and I love the idea of my girls doing girl scouts, but I don't see my wife being too keen on being involved in the camping and such. She's just not interested in that sort of activity. I'd be happy to help, but I'd worry there'd be some weird vibes of a dad playing a huge part.

Hi PP Dad. You could also check out the Indian Princesses. It is a dad-daughter organization. A friend and his daughter are in a group in Alexandria and really enjoy it.
