Baltimore will be a reverse commute. You don't need to worry about a house in a certain school cluster-- the county us one big school district. You can go to closest best fit once you and county agree on it. Have you considered Howard Co? Closer to Balt and they have excellent schools as well.

I tried searching this forum for schools in Howard County, could not find any. Called KKI, they have long waiting list. No hopes there. Any of you have an idea about Howard county special ed schools? Reverse commute is good news. Do you think I can consider schools in D.C as well if it is reverse commute?

Any private schools in Howard county/MOCO/D.C. It would be little hard for us to afford private this year but we are going to consider if that is the best for him.

Not sure what you mean by inclusion school. If you mean that kids that don't have autism or any other learning and behavorial issues, than no.

Ivymount is a special needs school only.

The program says it is for ages 4-21

For grades 2-10

Yes, I meant a program with 50% typically developing kids.

Not at Kt or Ivymount. 100% SN. And these schools are expensive. You would likely want your county to fund your child (and transport them!) so that is the place to start.

I talked to an acquaintance about Special Needs schools in Howard county. She is an OT and works in the Mo. co school system. She said Howard had the best special needs preschools because all of them are inclusive. Don't expect to find the information on a website, you need to call someone.
