What annoys you most about DCUM posters?

Anonymous
People who say, "I feel sorry for your children." I mean, come on. A little bit of brandy on the gums really DOES help with the teething pain!
Anonymous
Pretty much all the political posts, but especially the ones that have such a visceral hatred for the president and completely disconnected from reality.

Anonymous wrote:Those people that go around correcting peoples spelling errors and badgering people who type in all lowercase letters. Who the hell cares? It's a forum, not the fucking Washington Post.

This, this, a thousand times, THIS! Grammar Nazism is the last refuge of a person who desperately wants to troll, but can't come up with an intelligent and original rebuttal.

The ones who don't think before they post.
Anonymous
Those who turn cute little funny threads into a serious discussion. Someone posted a cute little dog video and some lame ass Debbie Downers morphed the conversation into animal abuse. Lighten the eff up people!!
Anonymous
Those who tell a poster to calm down and then launch into a multi-paragraph rant about how the poster is overreacting. When they are in fact overreacting, thus making it a never ending cycle of overreactions.
Anonymous
Arguments that go in circles and just keep escalating until all logic is gone and it's just a whole bunch of words being thrown at each other. Like the Hirshhorn breastfeeding thread.

In particular the one who doesn't capitalize "I" and types "i". Otherwise, the sanctimonious mothere who believe TV is going to eat their child's brain and the ones who don't give their children sweets but they eat them. "We're Pregnant" "nanniversary," brag about their Ivy League degrees? If there anyone I, who doesn't have an Ivy League degree and was summa, summa at Harvard, Harvard Law, and now is in Big Law. I have more but someone else needs a turn.

The ones who essentially berate other parents for not being wealthy.

I cringe every time I read, "If you can't afford X, you shouldn't have had children!"

Ouch, people.

The holier than thou posters who think they are above the nastiness of DCUM. I think those that really *are* above it probably aren't posting a "Goodbye DCUM" thread just to make sure - anonymously - that everybody knows that they (anonymous person) is leaving us.

The grammar police suck as well.

The atheist who has to post something to the effect of "religion sucks" on as many threads as possible, even when this particular sentiment has a very tenuous connection to the topic at hand. (This is not to criticize the several other agnostics and atheists here, who seem respectful even where they disagree strongly.)

I think the whole thread on the murder at Lululemon perfectly captures all aspects of what I dislike about DCUM.

i type like this all the time on the forum, and people have berated me for being too "lazy" to use the shift key. i really don't see the big deal with just typing in lowercase. i'm not writing an official email. it's a forum. of course i use the shift key when i'm typing an official email etc. but if it's casual, then i just don't bother. my husband and i type like this in our emails to each other throughout the day. i also wonder if it's maybe a generational thing... a lot of people my age type like this. but everyone has their own annoyances and pet peeves...so whatever.

Anyone who disagrees with me.

20:56 isn't far off.

Honestly, friends, can we admit that this very thread is a form of passive-aggressive revenge? A lot of the complaints here seem to be directed at (a) somebody who criticized the poster directly, or (b) somebody who posted to all of DCUM but the poster took it very personally....
