Had it with Reiter & Hill! Anyone got a (Sibley-delivering) OB rec?

Just chiming in that I have no concerns with RHJ. I am 35 weeks with my first pregnancy and though it is a big office and I sometimes have to wait, it never seems unreasonable and I feel I am getting excellent care. I've also had them twice squeeze me in on very short notice when there was a concern that something had gone wrong, so I always try to be patient if I have to wait a bit since I've likely increased someone else's wait-time addressing my little scares.

I am at 20 weeks, and am switching from Foxhall to another practice. While I don't have major complications, I had a really rough 1st tri, and started fainting around 20 weeks. The support staff at Foxhall was always extremely rude when I called for medical advice outside of my appts, and I was lucky if I got a call back. It got to the point where i didn't even want to call them because I felt so sick I couldn't handle the rudeness. Same with my only interaction with Lightfoote. I had Pardo for most of my appts and while she was okay, she didn't seem to care about helping me find a solution for when I was feeling terrible and was dismissive at times. I don't think Foxhall is terrible, it is okay, and I probably need to go the midwife route, but as it was a long drive for me, I am switching because it is not worth the commute for me.

Not sure where you live but Dr. Lori Kaler in Bethesda delivers there. She was great with my delivery/care although she can have a wait before appointments as well.

Gschwend and Kleinerman deliver at Sibley and they are both great.

Ditto Kleinerman (LOVE her!), but not as big a fan of Gschwend (personality mis-match, I think)

to 20:37 - i love Dr Kaler too but she no longer delivers babies I was with her and really liked her but had to switch (i'm 35 weeks). Now with Dr Robert Footer who was recommended by Dr Kaler. he has been wonderful so far and happy to spend time with me going over my various worries and fears. he delivers at sibley.

I have heard good things about D'Souza. I too left Reiter and Hill's practice 8 years ago because of horrible customer service - definitely felt like a factory churning thru clients.

Women's OBGYN in the same bldg. was awful too; really bad customer service! I left them & went to a midwives' practice, which is sadly no longer around.
