I can't believe I'm saying this but I think we need Donald Trump.

Let's take a look at Trump.
Self made millionaire. No wait, son of a self-made millionaire. Yes, he got his start in Daddy's company. Declared bankruptcy on Taj Mahal, costing his creditors hundreds of millions of dollars. Declared bankruptcy on Trump Plaza Hotel. Emerged from bankruptcy only to go back into bankruptcy again with his new combined holdings (Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts) in 2004. Emerged from bankruptcy as Trump Entertainment Resorts and went into bankruptcy again in 2009. Yes, along the way he has had some successes. But his ridiculous pattern of excessive ambition followed by bankruptcy is exactly what this country does not need. We all yearn for the decisiveness of a finger-pointing, celebrity firing CEO. But that is a reality show fiction. The truth is that he is a really uneven businessman who has left his creditors out in the cold many times. |

In fairness to Bush, I don't think he has actually bankrupted anything (at least in the private sector). He ran an oil business that did not do so well, probably mostly due to low oil prices at the time. But few people get to spend $3 trillion dollars of someone else's money in order to settle a family grudge. |

Donald Trump is known in the business world as a bully. Similar to Leona Helmsley, who would throw a lavish party and then refuse to pay the contracted cleaners.

And a businessman is fine to govern a country and manage world politics, because based on his financial knowledge he has 'how'? gained foreign affairs knowledge??? | Michelle doesn't like the way B O smells and I would prefer a normal smelling president. Trump appears well groomed and in all the years he had been on tv I have never seen flies buzzing around him. I just think it makes our country look low budget. I know we have a 1.6 trillion deficit and 14 trillion debt but we hopefully can at least make a better impression. |
