Post-kid, I love Silver Diner. It has one of the best selections for kids meals (actually has healthy inexpensive sides and healthy entree options ). Plus, the kids get a paper car, they get to push buttons on the table-side juke boxes. And the adult food is OK. And - this is very important - most of the wait staff are very tolerant of kids. The one told me "they are nothing compared to the drunks we get late a night."

Crap - forget the name - but the brew pub in Seven Corners - sort of behind Home Depot. But go early, or there is a wait.

I don't hesitate to go to most places, except very fancy places, with my toddler, especially if we are going with family visiting in town, or friends without kids. We just make sure to go on the early side. Agree with the other posters that said that Arlington is really kid friendly. Eventide, which you would never think of as a kid place, has a great kids menu if you go early before the main dining hour. Lyon Hall also has an interesting kids menu.

When its just us, we tend to go to places like silver diner, boulevard wood grill, faccia luna, and Rocklands. Also any ethnic -- chinese, thai, vietnamese (including eden center) or indian.
