Suggestions for a 4-day San Francisco trip?

Was watching RH of OC tonight and they stayed at Hotel Vitale in San Fran - reminded me of when I stayed there for a conference by accident b/c my conference hotel was booked. It was WONDERFUL. Highly recommend.

DH has a conference in San Fran at the end of June -- hotel will probably be Intercontinental, but we could shift if others have a hidden jewel to recommend, one that's within walking distance. TIA
