Another proud W&M grad. Yes, there is a great wine store that also sells amazing sandwiches and gourmet salads. (The Cheese Shop on Duke of Gloucester Street.) My husband grew up in W'Burg, and loved it as well. |
Yes! the basement level of the Cheese Shoppe right on campus has a pretty good wine selection. |
Barrett's is a bar. Williamsburg is great for a social life for students of legal drinking age (grad students who have cars). |
OP here. Thank you again!
I actually read about The Cheese Shoppe on Yelp! When DH and I make our way down over the weekend, I will definitely check it out! |
Boring social-life. Worthless liberal- arts hyper academic environment + tons of anti- depressants + suicide epidemic = yuck/gross. Just my opinion. |
I moved to DC three years ago from Williamsburg. Previously, I lived in Wmbg for 10 years. It is a lovely town but it does not have the same amenities as DC. There are not a lot of non-traditional students at W&M but you should be fine. I recommend the Blue Talon for a nice meal. Have a great time in Williamsburg. |
The Sandwich and Wine Shop at the Kingsmill Shops is better wine shop than the Cheese Shop. Just in case you are wine shopping. |
The Walgreens on Richmond Road has discounted anti-depressants and Dr John Lee on Jamestown Road is excellent at suicide prevention therapy. |
cute, very cute. @sshole. |
OP here, I had no clue this had been moved on.
I really have no desire to hear about suicides, etc. I mean how productive is that?? I truly appreciate all the constructive advice. It seems I will be attending WM! I am so excited but overwhelmed all at the same time! |
Congratulations, OP!! |
Thanks! I am so excited! This is such a new chapter. I really wasn't
prepared for! |
