Average length of pregnancy for a first time mom is 41 and a half weeks. A huge percentage of first-time moms are being induced these days, so it is skewing the averages. If you list when you delivered, make sure to say if you were induced!

Baby #1: born at 40 weeks 2 days
Baby #2: born at 38 weeks 1 day, but it was an induction because my water broke and after 24 hours I hadn't gone into labor. I think if I had not gotten induced, it might have been many more days before I spontaneously went into labor.

had a dr appt the week before I was due-dr said doesn't seem like we'll be seeing you until at least late next week-1-2 days later I went into labor! I was happy and ready-only 4 days earlier than due date when he finally arrived after 41 hours of labor (2 hours of pushing-and then a c-section on top of that) It wasn't bad though-esp after they gave me the epidural!!
