you might take him to the doc for an ear check. Our daughter had a similar sleep regression and no symptoms of anything illness related. I took her to the doctor out of desperation and came back with a double ear infection. We have since caught 2 ear infection and 2 UTIs from her sleep regressions.
Oh wow, what a great idea! The baby is probably teeting. Let's just let him lay in his bed and cry out in pain with no comfort b/c mom and dad need to be fresh for the next day. I am a working mom and I had a child that did not sleep through one SINGLE solitary night the entire 1st year of his life. It was hell, pure hell, but I make the choice to work, not my baby. I am not going to let him suffer and cry his heart out at night because I need to be at work the next day. My primary job is my child and my secondary one is at the office. |
Give me a break PP... you should just get a freakin' pin and let everyone know what a martyr you are.
OP here. GOOD NEWS - we did 2 things different last night and something worked b/c he slept 9.5 hours with just a few short night wakings. We tried the Tylenol for the teething and we also stopped a relatively new oral medication he was on for dermatitis. I did a little research and found that some of the rarer side effects were nightmares, restlessness, stomach aches, and irritability. Hopefully he'll keep up the good work! And thanks for all the tips and advice - I really love hearing from other moms who are in the same boat!
OP Again. And yep I agree in the advice of taking him to the doctor for an ear/nose check. I did that Monday and the doctor said he was all clear.
Yeah! I'm so glad you gave us an update. I checked this to see how your night went (been there!!!). It sounds like he is getting back on track and there is a peace of mind for Mommy - Priceless!
