What is wonderful about Murch?

if you get into one of the good charters I would seriously consider that as a route. we are one of the parents who did transfer our child to private in 3rd, though that wasn't our original plan. The transition wasn't horrible, but it also was not stress-free for either ourselves (do we just move? do we fork over all that money for private?) or our child (she is not the greatest dealing with big change.

all school have their issues, I guess you just need to decide which ones you can live with and which really concern you. even with all the $ spent we feel the issues at the new school are easier for us to take.

we do have pangs of liberal guilt sometimes. (we tried for two charters but didn't get picked in the lottery)

14:41 -- What were the issues at Murch that concerned you personally and made you decide to switch? Also, which charters did you consider and why?

14.31, here. Same issues others mentioned (things seemed like they were getting dicey) plus we weren't confident in some of the teachers. We tried cap city and two rivers.

We are considering moving in bounds for Murch. What is "dicey" code for? I have heard murmmers about "problems" in the upper grades, can anyone share more details?

This thread is over a year old. I'd look for some of the more recent anonymous opinions, and visit the school
