LMAO. No it isn't.

There is no consensus for vienna's best preschool. Parkwood seems to be the most popular, but that could be because it is not that expensive. Meekens requires significant parental involvement, which might n

But please stop calling daycare places schools. They are not. Is it the way parents rationalize it thinking they are at a school and not being mostly watched and barely entertained?

My older DD went to Parkwood for a year. It's a lovely place and certainly an institution in Vienna. However, she was pretty significantly bullied by 2-3 boy in her class and the school did not deal with it in an appropriate way IMO. The kids were part of families that had several kids at the school and we did not and I do feel that played a part in how they dealt with us. So while I think the school itself is great, be aware that there is definitely an "in" crowd there.

FWIW, this was a few years ago, but it still bothers me. (Obviously.)

My two kids went to Parkwood, so I went there for 4 years. I also know several other families whose children went to Parkwood. They were all happy with it, as was I. Parkwood is a wonderful preschool. They don't even advertise, it's by word of mouth. It's been around for over 50 years, and you can tell the owner and teachers love it there. Both of the teachers my kids had had been there a long time -- one over 8 years, the other over 10 years. Everyone is always so nice there. It's a nurturing environment.

I'm sorry, PP, that you had a bad experience there, but that is rare. So I just had to write something, because I won't sit back while others say bad things about it when I know that many, many families have been happy with Parkwood.

13:38 here. And I would like to add, there isn't an "in" crowd. That is ridiculous. It's a preschool, not a high school.

What planet have you been living on? There's definitely an "in" crowd in the town of Vienna that wants to run everything. And it doesn't end with the preschool.

No there isn't an "in" crowd in Vienna. You've been watching too many movies and after school specials.
