What were you doing at 3am?

Telling my crying three year old that her dream of a spider in her room was not real.

Trying to explain to my 17 month old that it wasn't yet morning and definitely not time to play. Joy.

Reviewing employment contracts. Listening to DH snore. Doing a load of laundry. I am refusing to reset my body clock from half way around the world. I just have to go back next week what's the point.
Anonymous
Holding my 14 month old upright so that she could sleep (she was diagnosed with RSV this week).
Anonymous
Sleeping.

I would not have believed it when we were in the throes of babyhood, but the kiddies grow up and actually sleep through the night...sometimes.

I was definitely sleeping at 3 am.... I'm really sorry to all of you who were tending to sick children.. And I hope that they're all feeling better and your families are resting again soon.
Anonymous
Drinking with my best friend. Went to bed just after 3 though.

OP here. Of both threads. I posted them both by mistake. Didn't realize the first one had gone through. I really am that lame.

lying in bed wide awake for no reason.

Feeding my newborn, ordered iPhone at 9:15 AM.

Probably awake for some unknown reason. Have just been sleeping lightly lately. Probably left over from listening, freaking out, to two croupy kids all night. Now they're (relatively) healthy and I'm still waking every time someone breaths heavily.

at 3am I woke up trying to recover from a bizarre dream in which a former classmate we're talking elementary school here, I haven't seen her in 2 decades) throwing teabags at me while I was trying to escape on a bike that was way too small. The teabags were about 20 times the size of a regular teabag.

I am waiting for someone to explain THAT dream to me!

This is a parenting website. The best we could hope for at 3am is a sex dream or enough quiet to fantasize for a few, uninterrupted minutes.
