if you're using a recipe that has a cream sauce base (flour and milk or cream) I think it would be fine. Otherwise I wouldn't do it because it might not spread as well.

I've done the Martha Stewart one too, always a big hit. It makes a TON, though. And it is a lot of work! But so worth it...

If you like spicy (for the adults) add the chipolte sauce. If not and for the kids, don't. You can cut down on the cheese and cream and it's still great.


This our family's favorite mac-n-cheese recipe. We never use the chipotles, but I'm sure they're great.
