Educate me about speech/language delays

Anonymous
OP - how old is your child? My DS had significant speech delays from 22-32 months we had weekly speech therapy and I took a Hanen class. At 36 months he took the WPPSI and scored 122 overall and 130 on the verbal part. It's not a DCUM off the charts/Sidwell here we come score, but we were overjoyed.

OP here: my son is 4. he has been in speech therapy since he was 2. I am starting to think about options for Kindergarten now (too early? but I was told he needs to do the WPPSI this summer.). I am not sure if I should consider Janney/DCPS (class size might be too much for him).

I am at Janney OP and their services are wonderful. There is a great K teacher who used to be a special needs teacher.
