Another thought is getting something like a cupcake 'tree'. i think you could find one at Michael's. Or Tupperware - wherever you can buy it. Anyway, it's similar to pulling your cupcake out of the 'cake'.

They aren't that good - don't waste your time or money. People like it because DC is starved for this sort of thing. Another cupcake shop is going to open soon in Dupont, hopefully it will be better.

Which bakery in the area do you think is most like Magnolia Bakery-style (from NYC) cupcakes?
