Beauvoir. Child is very happy; parents less happy (haven't met many other parents we like , but not sure that aspect would be any different at Sidwell).

Upper NW DCPS from PreK to 2nd. We were very displeased with this. Nice parent/child community and neighborhood school aspect couldn't make up for substandard curriculum and mostly mediocre teachers.

DD went to MoCo from 3rd on. She has been in the regular MoCo academic program and the Highly Gifted Center and magnet middle school. All have been fantastic experiences with great teachers. Looking back, this is a perfect fit for her in a way Sidwell lower school probably wouldn't have
been.

PP - do you mind sharing what elementary school in MoCo your DD attended?

Beauvoir, and we're fine with it.

MoCo. We couldn't be happier. Once you understand that it is really up to the parents to provide your kids with the extra "edge" in school. you realize what a waste a private school can be for the normal folk -- translated, to the families who are well off but not so well off that $30K a year for 12 years is a signficant hit to their income.

WES. It's a great school too. I'm satisfied. Our kids had a what...1% shot? Congratulations to the children that did get in! I'll take anything but our dcps!

St. Patricks and we have been extremely pleased. A terrific environment for our child and we love the sense of community.
