This. This is what helped me after first pregnancy ended in missed m/c. Now 30 wks with second preg, and optimistic. Best of luck to you, OP!

This happened to me as well. 8/9 weeks is when people have the appointment, so they miscarriages are reported as happening then. I think 5-6 weeks is more common. Good luck to all!

I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks, baby measured 9. We had seen the heartbeat twice. My doctor said most chromosomal abnormalities show up by 10 weeks. My baby had turner's syndrome and I was only 30. Still, I think it is only a 5% chance that it happens after seeing a heartbeat. Good luck!

I had a missed m/c at about 11.5 weeks, and sadly, that was my first visit (could not see a physician sooner). So, I don't know if there was a heartbeat (I would think there was one).

I had a missed M/C at 8.5 weeks with my first pregnancy but then got pregnant again 2 months after my D&C and am happy to report have had a healthy pregnancy this time around and am at 34 weeks. I wouldn't worry about what has happened in the past (even though I did too). As others have said, the odds are greatly in your favor. Just try to stay positive and think about how excited you will be in another week or two!

I saw the heartbeat at 7.5 wks and found out at 12 week ultrasound that baby had died a couple weeks before. My body hung on to the pregnancy for over a month with no symptoms that anything had gone wrong. You just never know.
