Abstinence post-transfer?

My "research" has also led me to find that sex prior to transfer, apparently, helps with implantation. Lots of conflicting stuff out there.


Given ET is 3 or 5 days before transfer, I wouldn't recommend sex then. My instructions were clear about no sex after the ET. My RE cleared us to go ahead and have sex pretty soon after our positive beta (can't remember if it was after the second beta or the scan we had at 5 weeks). We went for it a few times during the first 10 weeks but I was on progesterone suppositories and found they took a lot of fun out of sex (lots of burning for me and lots of mess for both of us). After 10 weeks, things improved a lot.
