| Gym first, then shower/brush teeth (I brush in the shower), eat breakfast at work an hr later. |
| I brush first because I can't stand the way my mouth feels otherwise; I have my kids brush after breakfast. I don't think it matters much either way. I think my hygienist said the main medical point of brushing is to disrupt the plaque, so it doesn't build up. Timing is less important than frequency. |
Do you have a mouth? |

LOL PP!
We do it the same way you do OP. |

I usually brush then eat, because I eat an hour or so after getting up. I don't usually want to eat breakfast at 5 am.
Supposedly that's better, because if you eat without brushing all of the bacteria that's been growing in your mouth has a literal explosion. If you brush and get rid of the bacteria before eating it's better for your teeth. With kids it usually works out smoother for them to eat then brush teeth before or after getting dressed. |
| I brush first. Too skeeved out by my own funk to wait until after eating. It never occurred to me there would be another way. Educational thread. |
eat first then brush. |
| on weekends, I eat first, then brush teeth before I leave the house. On weekday mornings, I brush my teeth first because I eat breakfast at the office. (If I feel like there's food in my teeth after that, I have little disposable floss picks I can use.) |
It's nice that you have time to brush after every meal in "your country." Start living in the real world and that habit will quickly die. Just get some Orbit and you'll be fine. |
| brush first so I can taste my food |
| Can't stand feeling of a "stagnant" mouth after hours of rest .. So I brush, wait a bit (don't eat immediately after brushing), and will brush again after, for cleanliness |

I hate brushing my teeth. Really, really hate it. I have to force myself to do it once a day, sometimes twice.
I have gotten a lot better with flossing though. |
Huh? |
| I grew up brushing before breakfast. I thought it seemed a little gross to eat with a dirty mouth. At some point (probably in college) I asked a dentist about it for some reason and he strongly recommended that I brush after eating. Makes sense. I adopted that routine and that's how I have the kids do it. |
Kids eat first then brush. I, wake up brush teeth, shower, etc. get the kdis ready and out the door. go to the office have coffee and breakfast and then brush my teeth AGAIN afterwards. I don't want that nasty coffee breath and I LOVE coffee. |
