Not sure if they are on Netflix, but recently watched/and recommend the list below that I watched on my kindle fire through Amazon.
Under The Same Moon The Family Stone Hatchi. (My spelling may be off. Richard Gere was in it.) Marley and Me |
| I think Instant Netflix is really limited. Our kids like it for cartoons etc (we don't have any cable/satellite etc) but my husband and I never really find anything of interest. Last night we tried to have a family movie night and really had no choices. We still get the DVDs too and that is where we find the most that we really want to see. Watched The Help this week...great! |

Last night I watched a documentary about the revolutionary war from the History channel. It was really good.
This morning Dh and I watched "The Joneses" |

| I subscribe to netflix streaming and feel like I've never seen any of the movies that people have suggested here on the list of movies available! Now that I know to search for them I will, but am I doing something wrong when I go onto the netflix streaming website that I'm not seeing everything that's available? For example, I've been dying to see Lust, Caution but never knew it was even on netflix streaming. Granted, I mainly use my account to watch past seasons of TV shows that I've missed.... |

One of the problems with Netflix streaming is that the offerings can vanish fairly suddenly, which seems to happen a lot more with big name movies than with the more obscure/older stuff. That said, I'm a huge documentary fan, which is one of the genres that Netflix streaming is very good in. I subscribe to both the streaming and the real disk services, so I don't notice the limitations of the streaming service as much as I might otherwise.
To the posters who complained about not being able to find good stuff on the streaming library-- check out www.instantwatcher.com. It's a much more comprehensive way of searching for Netflix titles than what Netflix itself offers, and it also does a good job of showing when titles are due to expire. |

You will be VERY disappointed. The only worthwhile offerings are TV series, both kids and adults. If you're looking to kick back in the evening and watch a movie that you missed last year, you will not find it. Or any other major studio release from this decade. You can't even have DVDs sent to you on a fee-per-title basis. Honestly, if it weren't for the kids' offerings and the Wii client, I would have gotten rid of it long ago. WHEN will amazon streaming start talking to Wii? I love that you can watch their free stuff, or "rent" a streaming movie for a couple of bucks. I just wish I could use my TV/ Wii to do so. |
