Milk - Whole, 2%, 1% or fat free

Whole milk is very high in saturated fat. You can get the same nutrition in skim without the high fat content. Also, a large portion of the calories in milk actually do come from sugars. For your family it may not be a weight issue to consider, but you should consider switching for the health benefits.

Our pediatrician recommended 1% after a certain age where the fats in whole milk are no longer needed for brain development. Said it would save them from a heart attack later!

I drank whole milk until I married DH. He said only fat people drink whole milk.

This is obviously not true, because I am the thin one in the relationship, but I let him win this one as I don't really like milk. We drink 2%.

I completely agree with this. In our house, we only drink raw, whole, fresh milk. A superfood, in my opinion.
